What's the song? quiz released!
Today, I'm announcing my first web app: What's the song? QUIZ.
What's the song? QUIZ is a game in which you must match the song being played with its correct name.

My daughter and I love your absolutely love your app. We're both music buffs. I like the variety of music you have in your library. One thing frustrating is that some songs are silent. You'll know what I mean if you play your game. The songs will stay the same, i.e."The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac is always silent. So if nothing plays you take a guess or so. It's actually been a little part of the fun to get mad at the game.
ReplyDeleteThe actual reason for my writing you is that this evening the app started displaying the instructions page with "Could not play the song" below. I have your game on both my kindle and phone and it's happening on both. Hope you can fix it.

DeleteNormally this error occurs because the application reached the max quota for a free billing app on google app engine (the server I'm using), since there is no ad in my app I don't receive any money from it and because the users of this application is decreasing I think this error will be more rare in future. Now on the silent songs it happens because the music is hosted by amazon and I don't have any control over their library so unfortunately this issue can occur.
I still want to revamp this android application to be more like the one I created as a facebook app, you can try it here https://apps.facebook.com/facesongquiz/ (it is the same app but it has more features and even more music, now divided into categories), maybe this facebook app works on android (I know it works on iphone), but I will try to port it as a native app for android in the future [if I have time :-) ]
I am having the same issue with the song not playing, I downloaded the app last night and it played. It won't play today, I uninstalled then reinstalled it thinking maybe it had a glitch, still no go. I'm also having an issue where the question gets stuck and the answer just changes position.
